Did you use the UVW mapping for the planets or did you just manually adjust the size of your maps to create seamless ends?

Well, in fact I didn't care about the seams. I just avoided them. ;) Wouldn't be working if I'd go and animate it like that. :D

Hahaha so there's my problems! xD Any tips or pointers on fixing up seams when animating?

Well, that depends on how close you want to get to the planet in the end. I work mostly with textures not bigger than 8000x4000 but tile them on the sphere for the planet if I want to get close. That unfortunately works only on stills. If you want to do a zoom on a planet that wouldn't work. So you need a really huge texture that'll look good all the way. I'd say 16000x8000 but you'll also need lots of RAM to work with textures like that.
To fix up seams there's only one way, when you create your textures in Photoshop you'll have to take the texture, cut it in half and switch places, then fix the resulting seam in the middle using the clone stamp tool (for example). You do that, you get your seamless texture. :) Hope this helps, if not, just note or email me. Address is on my front page.

Thanks! That really helped! I wasn't sure about size relationships for close ups but now I do! :D
