the best detail in my opinion of these landscapes is to look at the sky and see a planet or more floating there like that, I liked the touch of civilization and I think there are flying creatures to the left, also good detail

No, I'm serious, how?

:iconhoevelkamp:

Let's say Vue, 3ds max, Photoshop and something like 30.000.000.000 polygons. :D Serious.
I modeled the pyramids, the standing rocks, the futuristic building in 3ds max, put them to Vue and created a scene with different ecosystems and lots of textures. That was then rendered in Vue in 4 parts, foreground, near, middle and far. Otherwise the system wouldn't render the scene due to RAM limitations. The whole render was then composed in Photoshop. The .psd was then send to ~Voyager212 who overpainted my flaws, added the planets/moons, stars, the birds, the antennae on the futuristic building and balanced the overall color and contrast. It took us something like two weeks to get this together.
